Taken by the Leamington Courier photographer, he was standing at the front of Lladnar/The Firs, the morning after the explosion, whilst smoke is still rising. Several buildings have been destroyed but part of The Globe still stands. .

The remains of the semi-detached The Roseary, the home of the Robertson family, its ‘other half’ Salumin is gone. The building became particularly useful for ARP and Fire Guards training exercises as the war continued. Extreme left is the doctor’s house, Bendower.

Detail showing severe damage to buildings down the right hand side, and the top of the clock tower still intact; it was later removed due to being unstable. On the opposite side of the road, damage to 5 and 7 The Square can be seen. Debris appears to be sorted as it is cleared.
